Sandy Beach Tide Pools

When people hear Sandy Beach, they automatically think of neck breaking shore break and hot chicks. For me, I have a love hate relationship with Sandy's..I remember as a teenager jumping into a 6ft shore break trying to impress my friends and within seconds getting pounded over and over again dragged out pounded again to what I can only recall and describe as a rag doll in a washing machine experience until I got rescued by an arch-enemy at the time who happened to be my friend's boyfriend. I don't get embarrassed very often but that day definitely sucked..I guess the only thing I loved about Sandy's in the first place was that it was that it was so close to my house. Not too long ago, I made peace with Sandy's when I realized I didn't have to hang out with the scene and found the tide pools where you could just relax and be by yourself. It's on the left hand side of and the waves are rather friendly and you can probably count how many people are there on one hand at all times. Who knew Sandy's could be so baby friendly? I guess you could say that Phe helps me overcome my fears. The kid inspires me. He is fearless and enthralled by new adventures especially in the water..Every time we take him to the beach he gets deeper into the waves. We come here and play going back and forth the tide pools and the beach. This is where we took Phe and my husband dunked him in the water at 5 weeks old so I guess we will always in a way hold Sandy's close to our hearts and not just because it's so close to our house ;)
